You will discover beaches, coves, caves, inlets, sea stacks and an incomparable variety and richness of the seabed.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of ten things to do in the Aeolian Islands. Make sure you don&#8217;t skip any of them!<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>From Vulcano&#8217;s highest peak, viewing the succession of all the Aeolian Islands<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The first thing you must do is climb to <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/vulcano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mount Vulcano&#8217;s<\/a> crater, where the view awaits you is incredible, in the true sense of the word. Its taste of sun-ripened sultanas is veritable poetry, to be recited every evening on the spot.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> Eating <em>&#8220;u pani cunzatu&#8221;<\/em> of Lingua in Salina<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In the square overlooking the small lake in Lingua, a small fishing village south of Santa Marina, you will find several places to eat <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/ricetta\/pane-cunzatu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>&#8216;u pani cunzatu<\/em><\/a> with caper pesto, almonds, grilled aubergine, <em>cucunci<\/em> (caper berries), tomato, mint and a mountain of grated baked ricotta on top. Roberta Iann\u00ec<\/p><\/div>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Snorkeling amidst the fumaroles<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you love <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/immersioni-e-snorkeling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diving<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/panarea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Panarea<\/a> is home to intense underwater fumarole activity. The phenomenon is due to the release of volcanic gases that press under the earth&#8217;s crust and is frequent in volcanic areas. In the Aeolian Islands there are fumaroles everywhere, and you can easily observe them up close.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong> Night climbing on Mount Stromboli<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Of all the <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/vulcani-di-sicilia-etna-stromboli-vulcano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sicilian vulcanoes<\/a>, <em>Iddu<\/em> (in the Sicilian dialect <em>He<\/em>) awaits you for an extraordinary night-time experience. The Stromboli guides are highly skilled in navigating the best trails to the summit, depending on the eruptive phases. In any case, the spectacle is assured, rich in emotions that we will remember for the rest of our lives.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong> Tasting the mulberry &#8220;granita&#8221; with cream<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Everyone knows that the <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/la-migliore-granita-del-mondo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sicilian granita<\/a> is a cold spoon dessert, typical of Sicily. It is a semi-frozen liquid mixture of water, sugar and fruit. However, not everyone knows about <strong>mulberries<\/strong>, a fruit that is widespread throughout Sicily. In summer, in the courtyards of many country houses in the Aeolian Islands, it&#8217;s common to find is easy to see large mulberry trees dropping their fruit onto the nets specially arranged under the branches.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong>Donkey riding. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>.<a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/alicudi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alicudi<\/a> does not have roads, and the steep climbing paths are trodden by mules and donkeys that tirelessly carry tourists&#8217; luggage up and down. A few days of this simple life will easily make you forget the hectic bustle of city traffic. If you like the idea, <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/andare-a-passo-dasino-per-la-sicilia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">discover other places<\/a> where else these wonderful creatures can take you!<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li><strong> Soak in the sulphurous waters<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>These volcanic islands, like many other places in Sicily, offer numerous sites where you can relax your body and mind in a true <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/benessere-in-sicilia-spa-a-cielo-aperto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">natural open-air spa<\/a><strong>.<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/vulcano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Mount Vulcano<\/a> is famous for its <a href=\"https:\/\/visitsicily.altrama.com\/i-fanghi-di-vulcano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mud baths<\/a> and also for its &#8220;hot&#8221; waters. In the open sea, there are sulphurous areas that can be exploited for thermal treatments.
